Nordmann Kompakt: Sustainability - European Source, Upcycling and Solid Cosmetics
As part of the first Nordmann Sustainability Week Personal Care, we have put together a new Nordmann Compact presentation on this topic.
Sustainability in cosmetics can be looked at from different angles and has many influencing factors, such as cultivation, production, supply routes, packaging, etc. Currently, consumers are focusing even more on the packaging of cosmetic products, but ingredients are also being scrutinized more and more. The biggest influence, however, is still the consumer himself. It is very decisive how much water we consume and what temperature the water is when we shower and bathe.
But also with the ingredients of cosmetics we can all contribute a small part and consider sustainable ingredients in new developments.
In this Nordmann Kompakt presentation, we focus on raw materials that originate in Europe. This avoids long transport routes. We also introduce exciting ingredients that are upcycled from waste or by-products. Finally, we look at solid cosmetics and introduce you to suitable raw materials and a formulation for a shampoo bar.
