After all, the hashtag #nogender is popping up everywhere in social media channels, and it’s no surprise – the differences between men’s and women’s skin and hair are not all that significant. Nonetheless, a lot has changed in the field of men’s grooming in recent years. More men these days feel a need to take care of themselves and put more effort into their grooming. This has driven a rise in the number of new products for beard and scalp care, for example.

In this Nordmann Kompakt presentation, our lab team takes a look at several different raw materials for use in men’s grooming products, as well as for unisex personal care. The focus is on classic, well-known actives such as Algisium^®, Q10, Pentavitin^® and panthenol, but we also highlight new and innovative active ingredients for the eye area and aftershave products. We’ll also discuss products that keep formulations feeling light and less greasy – including volatile emollients like BeauSens^® Air, silicones or sensory additives that can also absorb sebum, e.g. Valvance^® Touch 210 or products from the Celus-Bi^® Feel range.
